Rita Krusemark -Biography :
Rita has a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology and minors in Sociology, Spanish and English. She began her career when she was still in college, in 1989. For the next two and a half years, Rita worked as an on-call youth care worker at a therapeutic group home for boys ages 8-18.
Rita was soon hired by what was then the Nebraska Department of Social Services as a Child Protective Services Worker. Since that time, she has worked as a Protection and Safety Worker and a Juvenile Service Officer serving abuse/neglect/dependency/status offender/delinquent children and their families. She also served as the Office of Juvenile Services Evaluation Coordinator for the Southeast Service Area.
Rita left the Department briefly to work in the private sector. She was a Family Support Work Supervisor for one of the Department's contracted agencies. During that time, Rita was also a private contractor for the Department completing home studies on potential foster and adoptive families.
Rita returned to the Department four and a half years ago as a Program Specialist. Since that time, she has served as the Deputy Compact Administrator for the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children and the Interstate Compact for Juveniles.
